Apparently...when i take off my glasses, my intelligence level drops by 1.4 points, and is offset by an increase in my risk taking behavior, which goes up by 1.4 points...at the same time...by taking off my glasses, i somehow transform from being chinese to becoming korean/japanese...in addition...i go from being an "academic" to becoming a "boss"...changes in my other characteristics caused merely by me not wearing glases are as follows: Ambition: -0.8, Honor: +1.3, Politness: -2.2, Income: +0.7, Sociability: -1.5, Promiscuousness: +2.6
This jus' goes to show you the power of glasses and its effect in changing your personality...this also is substantial evidence to prove that people really did not know that Clark Kent was Superman...c'mon...duh...the glasses make all the difference...Moral of the story: Not wearing my frames makes me dumber...but much much hotter (+2.6 promiscuousness)...
Today i learned something big. I have received the universal revelation of all time regarding girls. Girls like attention. They like it so much that they will even take it from guys in whom they have no interest. Poor guys. Girls want your attention even though they may not want you. Do not think i made this up out of thin air. I have surveyed and received multiple confirmations. So guys, this is a warning; ignore it at your own risk. So just 'cause a girl looks your way...or jus' 'cause a girl starts talking to you, that does not mean she's interested. She may only want your attention.
So obviously your next question would be this: How do you tell whether a girl is interested in your attention or in you? Here is the very sad answer. You can't. 'Cause half the time the girl doesn't even kno what she wants. And that is the sad sad truth of the matter. In the words of a friend..."Sucks for the guy."
So try not to get dragged along. Have some pride and dignity...and chase a goose. But remember not to slice it even if it lays golden eggs. You should use the egg to knock the goose out instead. Remember...knock...not slice. Moral of the story? Your goose is cooked...(which means no eggs for you).
Have i mentioned that i think too much? And that i read into thing too much? I have? well too bad. i jus' mentioned it again.
People's blogs are so amusing...i am amused...people should blog more for the sole benefit of my amusement...yes...the world does revolve around me...in fact...its an elliptical orbit around my head...but back to blogging...yes...it makes me sad when i see a dormant blog...i get sad when i see my own dormant blog...but then sometimes i have too much to write...or too personal stuff to write...or too little things happening to write...but that's not an excuse for other people...its only a viable excuse for me...because there are jus' double standards like that...yes...now you feel how sucky double standards are dun you?...yea...feel the suckiness...moral of the story: double standards suck.
Haas is so cool...they give us free computer accounts that save our preferences and things...and we get our own mailboxes...what other school gives undergrads mailboxes? I feel like a gsi now...not really...but still...coolness...
"Don't waste the process." The eternal, self-existing, limitless Triune God limited Himself to time to become a man...taking on the form of flesh but living a perfect human life for 33 1/2 years...suffered pain, humiliation, and death on the cross to redeem us from sin and our sins...resurrected after 3 days...ascended to the right hand of God...and became the life-giving Spirit so that He could dispense Himself into our spirit to be our life...Our God has gone through such a process just so He could be our life...everything has been taken care of...all we need to do is to just open to Him and receive Him as life...trying to do good works through our own endeavoring is not necessary, in fact, it's an insult...by attempting to do things yourself, you imply that process the Lord went through was not sufficient...but it is enough...it is more than enough...all we need to do is believe with our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and Savior...and He will come into us to be our life...we don't need to try to be good...by living this life, spontaneously we will fulfill the righteous requirement of the law...but most importantly...we will express Him in life and nature, but not in the Godhead...
There needs to be a radical change in our concept; stop struggling and striving to be good. What we need is life. Life is not good behavior; good behavior is our doing, but life is Christ lived out from us. In the garden of Eden, the two trees mentioned were not the Tree of Good versus the Tree of Evil. Rather, Genesis speaks of the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. "And out of the ground Jehovah God caused to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, as well as the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of knowledge of good and evil" (Genesis 2:9).
What is life? Life is the Triune God dispensed into us and living out of us. And what is life for? Life is the way to fulfill God's purpose. And what is God's purpose? It can be summed up in two words - image and dominion. God desires for man to express Him in His image and rule in Him with His dominion. We can see this at the very beginning of the Bible. "And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of heaven and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth" (Genesis 1:26).
For this, we need life; we need Christ to be our life. So where do we start? We begin with God's salvation. God's salvation is Christ as a living person coming into us to be our life. When we first believed, Christ came in to be our life. But it doesn't end there. As with the physical life, the divine life also grows, and it grows through eating. Daily, by eating the word of God, more of God is added into us. The more God is added to us, the more growth He gives to us. The growth of life is the increase of the element of God, the increase of the stature of the fullness of Christ, the expanding of the ground of the Holy Spirit, the decrease of the human element, the breaking of the natural life, and the subduing of every part of our soul.
The essential, indispensable part of living this life is to love the Lord. It is through our loving the Lord, that we can lay down our own opinions, that we can put away the expression of the self. When we love the Lord and lay down our opinion, then we will be filled with the sense of life. To live Christ is not doing good, but it is to follow this sense of life. We need to realize that the Christian life is not a life of ethics, religion, culture, or even morality; the Christian life is Christ, and the believers should live a life which is actually Christ Himself.
